Phase 1.1A

So this is the dinning room wall after we tidied up the plaster and made some straight edges.

On the Kitchen side, a little wiring and the fridge is back in place!  A stable spot for almost 2 weeks.
Meanwhile, in the dining room, dry wall goes up. Hurray!
A little tape, a gallon of mud.... I am reminded of one of our father's  many wise observations     "50 cents worth of accuracy or 3 dollars worth of glue".  You know where I fall on that one.
But, a little primer and the wall is almost back.

I'm getting the hang of this blogging stuff!

OK, So I am still figuring this blogging thing out.  For this to make any sense you have to go to the bottom of the post and work your way up.

Blurry picture of the sewing room and new closet....
Somewhere along the way I cleaned up.
The second floor subfloor.
The bottom side of the upstairs subfloor waiting to become ceiling.

The remains of the chimney waiting to be subfloored.
Plaster all down (Sandra's specialty)
So now we have a pass-through from the kitchen to the dining room.  The back of the chimney turned out to be the dining room wall...oops
Is my hair messed up?  I was one whupped puppy after this day (friday 5/15)
In less than an hour we had the whole front side down.
The Bosch-Hammer!!  An amazing demolition tool.

So, after 30 minutes of intense sledging....  We decided to go to Midwest Rental Center and get....
So this is the chimney wall in the kitchen.  Notice the random sledge hammer dings.
